Bernie’s Place is an adult homeless shelter in South Lebanon, OH.  DUMC has enjoyed their relationship with this shelter for many years.   Currently, members of the Church make dinner for the residents of Bernie’s Place on the third Saturday of every month.  We provide a main course, sides, dessert and drinks and occasionally bring the Church band along for some dinner music.  Church members are encouraged to stay and dine with the residents to share in a fun evening of good food and fellowship.

DUMC is also committed to providing clothing to new residents when needed and held a clothing drive last year that gathered over 500 items.  We work closely with the management team at Bernie’s and will even shop for special items or sizes if needed.  Recently, we were able to provide a resident with an odd sized business suit so that he could go to his new job in style.
