Welcome to Deerfield United Methodist Church!
We are an active, growing, community-oriented church in Maineville, Deerfield Township, Ohio.
Our mission is “To make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.” We follow three simple rules: do no harm, do good and stay in love with God.
We invite you to come experience our passionate worship and we pray that the Holy Spirit will fill you with all joy in your faithful believing in God through Christ!

This Friday, November 20th, starting at 6:30 pm, is another fun fellowship event at Deerfield UMC. We will be playing Bunko and Left, Right, Center – two great games for socializing and getting to know others. Children can play too! Plan to bring an appetizer or dessert to share. Invite your friends, family, and neighbors. All are welcome!
This Sunday, November 22, after service, we will have a combined lunch with our Saint Mary Magdalene Episcopal Church friends and then decorate the church for Advent. We will have fun getting decorations our and making the church ready for the coming of our King! Plan to bring a potluck dish to share.
A new Bible study will be offered the four weeks of Advent. This study will be offered on Sunday mornings beginning November 29 at 9:30 am, Tuesday mornings beginning on December 1 at 11 am, or Tuesday evenings also beginning on December 1 at 7:00 pm. Classes will meet for one hour. Books for the study, called Under Wraps, will be available
November “Un-Food” Pantry Drive
Deuteronomy 16:17 Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD your God which he has given you.We will be reinvigorati
ng our food pantry contributions by having monthly themed drives. Please keep this opportunity to give in mind while you are grocery shopping and watch for specials or coupons. Even the smallest item can make the biggest difference in someone’s life.
While we reflect on our blessings and thanks during the month of November, remember those who struggle to have the things we may take for granted. This month’s food pantry drive is “non-food items”. You may drop off your donations of paper products (for example: toilet paper), personal hygiene (for example: toothpaste), cleaning products (for example: laundry detergent), baby supplies, or pet food to Deerfield UMC on Sunday mornings, or Tuesdays and Thursdays during business hours. We will then take the donations to the Kings Local Food Pantry in South Lebanon. Thank you for supporting those in need in our community!
It’s not too early to be thinking about our annual buckeye sale which helps fund Missions Outreach at Deerfield UMC. We make the buckeye centers at home and freeze them. We will get together on Saturday, December 5, at 10 am, at the church for dipping and packaging buckeyes for sale. If you are interested in ordering homemade buckeyes please place your order via email at email@example.com with “Buckeye Order” in the subject line. Provide your contact information as well as your order (sold by the dozen).
Every Advent season we remember several children and their families in our community who are struggling to get by and need a little help under the Christmas tree. Coming in the end of November, the “Giving Tree” will be adorned with tags that describe a gift for one of these families. Please return your gifts, wrapped, to the giving tree by Sunday, December 13th.
